The Perseverance of Teaching Yoga
by: Kokuj1n
Why do most of the students lack the capability of becoming yoga teachers? Did anyone notice that people who do not persevere with the task of doing yoga on a regular basis disappear in a short time? Usually a student who is flexible and quick to perform in every direction on his first class leaves the class saying "Is that all in the yoga class?" Most of us know that there is much more to yoga than sheer suppleness. But how can a teacher make his student conscious of this in his class? Some teachers skip the initial lessons for a newcomer who is flexible and include them in the advance course. This happens much to the disappointment of established and dedicated yoga students who have been training for years.

The main problem is that a yoga teacher has forgotten the prime ingredient in teaching which is the perseverance of the art to make an exceptional yoga student. That ingredient is perseverance and that is what separates the talented student who evolves into a yoga teacher.

Need of Perseverance to Teach Yoga

Perseverance is the main ingredient of success for students and teachers alike. To make an accomplishment in yoga one needs a formula of success. Main ingredients that one requires to become successful as a teacher are that you have to have the desire and the passion of teaching. If a student does not have this in mind than just find something else that you have a desire of excelling in. Secondly one must have a dream that he can excel by teaching this subject. If he imagines himself teaching yoga and feels happy then he can succeed. Next is to take action quickly.

The difference between a goal and a dream is how much action is boosting the idea forward. If a person just dreams about teaching this subject and does not take any action then he will not succeed. Instead, if he takes action while not dreaming he is bound to succeed in achieving his goals. There are several people in the world who do not make any significant changes in their lives. They seem to be happy in what they have but if you do want to achieve something then you need to try to do something better. The last but not the least towards successfully teaching this subject is to maintaining your own personal practice and continue your education on this subjects.

Conclusion

In order to practice this continuously and successfully, it is important to learn about certain safety, physiology, physical therapy, modifications, anatomy and sports medicines. Associate with medical professionals and you will learn more about these aspects. The rewards of being a teacher on this subject are many but giving yoga instruction requires determination. As a teacher one must have the potentials to do enormous good but he must focus his attention on his faithful students and friends. It is normal to take people those who are familiar with for granted but one must persevere to appreciate what he already has. So, if these things are being considered one can achieve all his goals and objectives in life.
