The best way to start up on your diet and stick with it is to find someone that you can do it with. When you find someone that you can diet it with it makes it fun because you guys will both be sharing something in common and both working towards the same goals. I find that when you partner up with someone you will also always get an additional pooch to lose weight because you don't want to let your partner down. It has also been proven by many health professionals that the best way to have long term success is by having a partner to do it with.
A good person that you could ask to do this with could be one of your family members, your significant other or one of your close friends. These people you will usually tend to see on a daily basis. When you are setting up your plan to dieting make sure that you can discuss it with your partner and have set times where both of you can schedule into your daily time.
When choosing the person to do your exercising with it should not be a hard thing to come up with. When you think about someone that has recently told you they wanted to get in shape then that is probably the person who would do best on a diet right now. Right now, I make plans with my husband everyday on what time we will be working out and what types of foods we will be eating. We always eat the same thing everyday and are always healthy choices.
When you have a partner to lose weight with you can always kind of make bets with the other person. Like, make a bet that who ever loses 10 lbs first will get treated to the movies or something. It is something that can really get you motivated and will help you to not cheat on your diet. Also, try not to completely go into competition though because you don't want the other one to get discouraged if they aren't getting the same results as fast.
To start off on a good diet and fitness plan it is always good to have someone participating with you. Not only will you be more motivated to lose weight but you will also feel like you are having fun while losing the weight as well. Just remember to always stay on track with your goals and never try to out beat your partner in weight loss. Stay at the same pace and encourage each other to obtain long term success.
