Sunless Glory With Tanning Bronzer
by: Adam Hefner

Tanning bronzer is an innovative new product that allows people to experience the satisfaction of a great tan without exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays. These products are applied as powders or moisturizers. Once applied, they mimic a natural tan so perfectly that most people cannot tell the difference!

This method of tanning reduces a person's risk of sunburn. In addition, it decreases an individual's risk of skin cancer. Another benefit of these products is that they can be applied in only minutes; you no longer must spend weeks in the sun in order to get the tan you have always wanted.

When tanning bronzer first became available, many people tried them and were unsatisfied. The first products resulted in a fake, orange-color that most people recognized instantly as unnatural. The more recently developed products have improved greatly, and result in a very natural skin tone.

Many products are available, and different people have different opinions as to which is most useful. One of the most important things in choosing a tanning bronzer is to select one that is right for you. If one product irritates your skin, stop using it. Wait till the irritation goes away, and try another.

The majority of people agree, however, that the active ingredient in the most effective tanning bronzers is a chemical called dihydroxyacetone, or DHA. This sugar interacts with dead skin cells, called keratin, that lie on the outer layer of your skin (the epidermis). The resulting effect is the bronze color that mimics a natural tan.

Because these products interact with the outer layer of the skin, which is shed by the body about once a week, they need to be reapplied every few days. One of the best things about them, however, is that they can also be washed off with soap and water. Best of all, the skin does not dry and need to be constantly moisturized as it does with actual suntans.

Tanning bronzer can be applied to the skin as a powder, spray, or moisturizing lotion. After it is applied, wait about 45 minutes to let it dry completely. At the end of this period, your skin will look as though you had spent hours in the sun achieving this perfect tan.

If you find yourself wanting to get a perfect tan without spending hours lying in the sun, consider using a tanning bronzer. These products are very natural-looking, effective, and do not pose the risks that the sun's ultraviolet rays do.
