Body odor is said to stem from unhygienic practices. It telegraphs that the person is in need of a shower. Being told that you have body odor can upset you so much that you will drop everything and quickly jump into a shower. You will stay in that shower until you are sure that your body is free of any odor. Even the most attractive people who have only a natural body odor are told to take a shower and are avoided as if they had a terrible disease. People are flooding themselves with harmful chemicals in an attempt to disguise the body's natural fragrance. The natural odor of the body has become a bad smell and the shower room has become the most used area of the home.

Women have the biggest concern with foul odors particularly in the area of the vagina; this is basically caused my men who unrealistically demand that a woman be odor free. They suggest that the woman should douche more often. But there is nothing unpleasant about the normal smell of a vagina, and men should be educated to accept its wonderful fragrance. Douching can introduce new bacteria into the vagina which can spread up through the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes. Researchers have found that women who douche regularly experience more vaginal irritations and infections, and an increased number of sexually transmitted diseases.

The Foul odor prevention industry makes billions of dollars each year creating an awareness of a smelly world. They have exploited the human nose to increase their profits, and a person's nose has become on guard to detect any foul odor. It is true that chemicals have polluted our world and certain areas really smell bad and should be cleaned up. But they are going too far when they try to create the impression that the human body stinks. They even say that humans smell so bad, that they should be constantly deodorized. This is not a fair way to make a profit.

Human beings don't naturally smell bad nor do they have to constantly shower and deodorize themselves. The smell lies with the people that are pushing their cleansing products on us. They have to accept the way people smell and concentrate on producing genuine cleansing products that will protect the environment. All people have a natural body odor, and they don't need to be deodorized or douched.
